Bupa has extended its partnership with JAAQ (Just Ask A Question) for 2024, focusing on mental wellbeing and preventive healthcare.
The partnership will combine Bupa’s expertise in health and wellbeing with JAAQ’s creative approaches to engagement, using the JAAQ at Work platform to provide individualised, expert-led online assistance.
The partnership will primarily focus on Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), giving parents timely support and reliable information to help them better understand their own and their children’s mental health.
The partnership also seeks to support businesses by providing resources and services to help employees during difficult family times, as well as by addressing issues like loneliness and dental fear. This effort comes as data from the most recent Bupa Wellbeing Index shows that a large percentage of people rate their mental health as neutral or poor.
The partnership seeks to address the issue of low health engagement by providing individualised, expert-led online assistance and expanding early access to clinical advice through integration with the Bupa Touch app, which offers a range of health and wellness services.
Among the resources available are Q&A-style videos that aim to clarify Bupa’s policies, services, and products.
Bupa UK Insurance CEO Alex Perry says: “These days so many people turn to social media for health advice, but it’s often hard to know what’s credible and can be trusted. Our clinical expertise alongside JAAQ’s engaging video technology means our customers can access this expert information in a clear, jargon-free way on a range of mental health topics which many may feel reluctant to speak about. This partnership is a key part of our preventive health focus to help our customers lead healthier, happier lives.”
JAAQ chief impact officer Ryan Hopkins says: “Our collaboration with Bupa is designed to produce tangible, significant impacts on individuals, organisations and society at large. We’re excited to continue our partnership with Bupa and bring their clinical expertise with our unique employee engagement platform to help as many people as possible engage proactively with their health and wellbeing.”
