Bupa has appointed Chris Carroll as chief executive officer for its Global, India & UK market, effective 1 January 2026.
Carroll, who currently leads Bupa Insurance in the UK, will report to Bupa Group CEO Iñaki Ereño. He joined Bupa in 2020, holding senior leadership roles across Australia and has focused on building tailored propositions, forging retail partnerships, and improving customer pathways across Bupa’s health and dental services.
Bupa Insurance medical and healthcare director Richard Washington has been named CEO of Bupa Insurance and will report to Carroll. Washington has led the consumer division since 2021 and previously held senior roles at Lloyds Banking Group and NatWest.
The leadership changes follow Carlos Jaureguizar’s move to CEO of Bupa’s Europe and Latin America market.
