Patrick Watt, Bupa

Bupa, the UK’s largest healthcare company, has created three new senior sales and marketing roles, to drive further growth across its UK business.

Patrick Watt is taking on a new role combining sales responsibilities for large, small and mid-sized corporates.

As director of business sales, Watt will develop relationships with new and existing businesses and attract and renew large corporate clients. He will focus on delivering health and wellbeing propositions working directly with employers and in partnership with intermediaries.

Richard Norris has become director of consumer sales, having previously held the role of director of small-mid corporate. Norris will be leading Bupa UK’s consumer new business, customer loyalty and retention, and public sector sales teams with the goal of strengthening Bupa’s relationships with intermediary partners.

Angelene Woodland has been appointed the newly created director of marketing communications, leading all Bupa UK’s marketing communications across all channels and customer segments. She was previously director of consumer.

Bupa UK general manager, sales and marketing Simon Chrisp says: “This is an exciting time for Bupa as we continue our success in the small and mid-sized corporate market, attracting and renewing large corporate clients and committing to growing the consumer health insurance market.

“Equally important is developing the good relationships we have with our intermediary partners, and growing together by meeting customer needs.

“Our growth is led by keeping our customers, and their health and wellbeing, at the heart of everything we do, focusing on high quality customer experience and health and care outcomes.”
