Barnett Waddingham appoints Neil Howitt as head of SIPP Finance.

Howitt has 35 years of expertise in the financial services industry and held a variety of significant jobs throughout his career, including chief financial officer at Nucleus and 21 years at the St. James Palace Wealth Management Group. Senior positions in finance, change management, and the development and supervision of the administration platform were all part of his stay there.

His work at Barnett Waddingham will include a wide range of strategic responsibilities, including overseeing the contract negotiations with important suppliers and institutional partners, as well as business profitability and commercial management. He will also assume a position on the management committee of Barnett Waddingham SIPP.

Barnett Waddingham SIPP chief executive officer Simon Foster says: “I am really pleased to welcome Neil to BW SIPP as our new finance director, another demonstration of how important our SIPP business is at BW.  We are making key investments not only in our technology and service offerings but also in the leadership of the business.

“Neil has a wealth of experience, most recently with St James Place and Nucleus. I’m excited for us to benefit from his invaluable expertise as we continue with our ambitious development and white-label growth plans.”

Howitt says: “I’m delighted to be joining the SIPP team at such an exciting time for the business. I have been hugely impressed by the proposition, culture and ambition, and it’s a great privilege to have been invited to play a part in BW’s future success.”
