Corporate Adviser editor John Greenwood was recognised with an award for having made an Outstanding Contribution to Protection Journalism at the Protection Review awards last night.

Greenwood received the award from (from left) Health Shield executive director of operations Courtney Marsh and Protection Review’s Andy Couchman and Peter Le Beau, who is stepping down from his role as chairman of the organisation.

The awards, determined by the Protection Review editorial team from shortlists created by votes from across the industry, were presented at the Landmark Hotel in London last night.

The Mail on Sunday’s Sally Hamilton was named protection journalist of the year, while Vitality Life won the award for Best New Product of the Year.

Aegon was named Individual Protection Adviser of the Year, while Lifesearch won the award for Protection Intermediary of the Year.
The late Paul Bradshaw, Nucleus chairman and Skandia founder, was given a posthumous Lifetime Achievement award.
