Canada Life has appointed Dan Crook as its interim MD for group protection.
The news comes as managing director of group protection business, and individual protection business Tim Stoves steps down following six years as managing director and 14 years at the firm.
Stoves began his career at Canada Life following its acquisition of Royal & Sun Alliance. He has 20 years of industry experience as well as a track record of leading and managing people.
Crook has been at Canada Life for 8 years and will be stepping into the interim role from his current position as sales director for group protection.
A spokesperson for Canada Life commented: “Tim has decided to step down as MD for our group protection business, and he leaves with our best wishes. In the interim, Dan Crook, currently sales director for our group protection business, will take the lead and assume the role.
“As the UK market-leading group insurer our focus remains on providing brilliant customer outcomes, and we will shortly start our search for a successor to lead this business forward.”
