Canada Life has made two senior non-executives appointments to its board as it looks to transform and modernise its UK business.
It has appointed Andy Parsons as an independent non-executive director. Parsons has considerable experience in the financial services sector having been a finance director with Just Group, Liverpool Victoria Scottish Widows, Friends Life and Axa UK.
Meanwhile Jake Lawrence joins the board as a non-executive director in his role as executive vice-president and chief financial officer of Power Corporation and Power Financial.
Canada Life says both have significant industry experience and have worked for companies that have undergone periods of change and modernisation.
Andy Watson, chair of the Canada Life Limited Board says “These appointments further strengthens Canada Life’s highly experienced and international group of directors as we continue to execute Canada Life UK’s long-term strategy to grow, transform and modernise the business.”
