Canada Life UK has appointed Stuart Carroll to be its new chief actuary.
He succeeds Mark Pibworth who has moved to part-time role within the actuarial department.
Carroll has considerable experience in this area, having previously been chief actuary at Prudential Hong Kong and holding actuarial roles at Just Group, L&G and Swiss Re. He joined Canada Life UK in May last year as ALM and Investment director
Canada Life UK chief financial officer Stuart Robinson says: “Carroll’s appointment as chief actuary recognises the strong leadership, strategic insight and significant contribution he brings to Canada Life UK.”
He also thanked Pibworth had made in recent years, and welcomed the fact he would continue to share his insight and experience as he moves towards retirement.
