Capital Cranfield has appointed former head of DB solutions distribution at LGIM, Lisa Purdy, as professional trustee.

Purdy has 20 years of experience spanning actuarial, investment consulting, asset management and insurance. At LGIM, she represented more than £300bn in assets across LDI, Buy & Maintain credit, synthetic strategies, and delegated solutions, supporting clients on their endgame strategies and move to buyout.

Purdy also worked for Aon and Lloyds Banking Group pension businesses, working with clients between £5m and £25bn in assets.

Capital Cranfield managing director Harus Rai says: “Over the past few weeks my fingers have been crossed that Lisa would return safely from her once in a lifetime trip to Everest Base Camp! Now that she has, I am delighted to welcome her as Capital Cranfield’s newest Professional Trustee.

“Having worked closely with both Trustees and sponsors, Lisa brings an innate appreciation of their respective objectives, considerations and challenges, which allied to her straightforward and collaborative approach and a ‘get it done’ mentality, gives me every confidence that she will be perfectly suited to Professional Trusteeship. I look forward to working with Lisa as she builds her Trustee career, although we will just have to agree to disagree on the merits of jumping out of a perfectly serviceable aircraft for fun.”

Purdy says: “I already know several of the Capital Cranfield team and am very excited to be working with them in this next phase of my career. My approach will benefit Trustee boards that have struggled with decision making, setting longer-term objectives and/or are looking to move projects forward; as well as those looking for technical investment support, endgame strategies and/or delegated solutions .”
