Cardano has appointed Matt Harrison and Sinead Leahy as co-heads of Cardano Advisory, effective 1st January 2024.
Harrison will continue leading the trustee services practice, while Leahy, the other managing director, will lead the corporate advisory services practice.
Darren Redmayne is leaving Cardano Advisory after 16 years as CEO, but he will still serve as a board adviser.
Harrison, a managing director since 2014, brings over 14 years of experience from EY. Leahy, who joined in 2022, has a 20-year background, including roles at Natwest Markets, PwC, and Alpha Real Capital, specialising in pension and investment consulting for large schemes and corporate sponsors.
Cardano group CEO Michael de Lathauwer says: “We are delighted to appoint Matt and Sinead as Co-Heads of Cardano Advisory. Advisory is a core pillar of the business and has grown year on year since Darren and Alex Hutton-Mills co-founded the company, which is a huge testament to the team. I’d like to thank Darren for his leadership, support and guidance and wish him the very best for the future.”
Redmayne says: “The last 16 years have been an incredible journey and I’m very proud of what we have built at Cardano. While it is time for me to step down as CEO, I look forward to my continued involvement with Cardano as a Board Advisor. 2023 is shaping up to be a landmark year for Advisory and we head into 2024 with strong activity across covenant, risk solutions, strategic investment advice and sustainability advisory. It has been a privilege to lead my amazing colleagues and the advisory team are in very capable hands with Matt and Sinead.”
