Cardano has appointed Rachael Savage as a client director in the client management team.

Savage’s responsibilities in this position include managing client relationships and providing creative investment solutions for pension plans across a variety of advising, fiduciary management, and investment management client engagements.

Savage has over 19 years of asset management and consulting experience with defined-benefit pensions. She previously spent 13 years as a director and LDI client portfolio manager at BlackRock, where she was in charge of all aspects of the LDI portfolios for her clients. Savage contributed to the creation and execution of BlackRock’s inclusion and diversity goals as well as the growth of the UK and US LDI businesses. Savage worked as an investment consultant at Mercer before joining BlackRock.

She started on October 10 and works out of the London office.

Cardano partner and co-head of clients Patrick Cunningham says: “We are delighted to welcome Rachael as we expand our extraordinary teams at Cardano. Along with her technical ability, Rachael brings a wealth of client-facing, sales and people leadership experience. Given the current market environment, now, more than ever, it is crucial for schemes to ensure that they have the proper solutions and strategies in place.”
