Cartwright Pension Trusts has appointed Andrew Hunter to be a project management specialist within its strategic delivery team.
The firm, which specialises in DB and hybrid schemes, says this expansion is due to growing demand for specialist project support across the UK pensions market.
Hunter has 14 years’ experience within the UK pensions industry, including five years specialising in buy-in and buy-out transactions.
In his new role Hunter will work closely with teams across the business, as well as trustees, advisers and providers, to support the effective delivery of pension projects and strategic initiatives.
Cartwright Pension Trusts director of administration Julie Yates says: “We’re seeing pension schemes progress an increasingly broad range of complex projects, from de-risking transactions to wider strategic initiatives.
“At the same time, trustees and their advisers are facing growing demands on their time and resources, increasing the need for experienced project management support.
“As such, we’re continuing to invest in our strategic delivery team to make sure we have the capacity to support clients through these projects. [Hunter] brings significant experience of complex pension projects and buy-in and buy-out transactions, as well as strong project management skills.”
