Chancellor George Osborne announced the date for the autumn statement during Treasury questions in the House of Commons today.
Osborne may use the statement, which comes six months before the general election, to give more details around tax issues, including the expected gains or losses to the Treasury from the freedom and choice in pensions policy, to be implemented next April.
