DWP work and health head keynote at CA protection conference

DWP head of delivery, work and health unit Jennifer Heigham will deliver the keynote speech at Corporate Adviser’s Workplace Protection & Wellbeing: Building Back Resilience virtual conference next month.

Heigham, who works on the DWP’s Health is Everyone’s Business consultation, will share insights on the Government’s thinking into the ways employers can help rebuild employee resilience in 2021 and beyond.

The event will also include a session from Institute and Faculty of Actuaries head of health and care working group Chris Reynolds on how the pandemic will impact claims and pricing.

Wolfgang Seidl, partner and workplace health consulting leader, Mercer and Allyson Gayle, head of risk & healthcare, Premier Benefit Solutions, will take part in a panel session on refashioning benefits programmes to meet the challenges of today, while Eugene Farrell, mental health lead, AXA Health will speak on emerging mental health issues.

A session on Covid’s impact on workplace protection – opportunity or threat? – will; feature Johnny Timpson, Cabinet Office Disability Champion for the Insurance Industry and Profession chair of the Access to Insurance Working Group, Steve Herbert, head of benefits strategy, Howdens Employee Benefits and Roy McLoughlin, associate director, Cavendish Ware.

Stuart Scullion, chairman, AMII and Katharine Moxham, spokesperson, GRID, will both take part in a session on Covid and a changing world: how health and protection intermediaries are adapting to the new normal, and Association of British Insurers manager, health and protection Charlie Campbell will speak on digital strategies for building back better.

This digital event will highlight best practice on the ways employee benefits products and services can be used to help employers and staff to be healthier, happier and more productive.
