Hymans Robertson is appointing Ian Smith as head of distribution as part of its drive into its workplace savings technology.

Smith joins from eValue IS where he was head of institutional sales. In his new role, he will be responsible for developing sales of the firm’s Guided Outcomes technology within the HR marketplace.

Hymans Robertson partner and head of Guided Outcomes Paul Waters says: “We appointed Ian as he has a wealth of experience and expertise when it comes driving sales of new technology such as GO. As we continue to develop the growth in sales of our GO technology, particularly into the HR market, Ian’s knowledge will be a valuable asset to our business.”

Smith says: “The GO technology proposition is a fantastic market leading tool that is perfectly placed to provide a solution for HR departments and trustees who are increasingly coming under pressure to provide more guidance on retirement planning for employees in the new pension freedoms era”.
