First Actuarial appoints two new partners

First Actuarial has made Kirk Hinton and Peter Norman partners in the business.

The company says this promotion recognises the instrumental role both have played in growing the business, particularly at the firm’s Peterborough office.

This latest follows the recent creation of a new layer of 14 associate partners at First Actuarial — a move designed to recognise talent within the business.

Norman started his career at LCP, where he qualified as an actuary. He initially joined First Actuarial’s Basingstoke office and began practising as a scheme actuary in 2016, supporting a variety of high-profile clients.

Hinton joined First Actuarial in 2006 after graduating from Nottingham Trent University. He took responsibility for winning new business and worked as a client lead from an early stage and has managed the actuarial team in Peterborough for several years.

Norman says: “As a partner, I’ll be helping the business thrive. I’ll also be giving our clients the support and reassurance they need to navigate oncoming challenges such as the new funding code, the general code and pensions dashboards.”

Managing partner David Joy commented: “Peter and Kirk have performed brilliantly for their clients, their colleagues and of course, First Actuarial as a whole. Partner status recognises and rewards their efforts.”
