Fulcrum Asset Management is launching a diversified private markets LTAF — aimed at DC and DB pension schemes as well as other professional investors.
This fund, due to launch at the end of November will be its first ‘commingled’ LTAF — investing in a mix of real-estate, infrastructure, natural resources, alternative credit and private equity assets, which will include venture capital.
It will be an UK OEIC, that will be an open architecture solution, with underlying managers drawn from a panel of specialists. These managers will be responsible for sourcing and implementing high quality illiquid investment opportunities.
Unlike many other private markets investment funds, this LTAF will offer a a flat-fee structure, rather than any kind of performance-related fee.
Fulcrum says it has assembled its panel of illiquid specialists over a number of years.
Matthew Roberts, head of Fulcrum Alternative Solutions says: “We’ve taken time to ensure that we are offering investors a carefully designed entry point to private markets. Ever since we started the Fulcrum Alternative Solutions team, our goal has been to solve the challenges that investors have faced when it comes to accessing alternatives and this fund launch represents a significant milestone in that journey.”
