Guy Opperman to give keynote at CA Master Trust & GPP Conference

Guy Opperman MP, the minister for pensions and financial inclusion, has been confirmed as the keynote speaker at the Corporate Adviser Master Trust & GPP Conference in London later this month.

Opperman heads a stellar bill of speakers, which includes CIO Question Time with three leading chief investment officers, who together run money for several million UK citizens – David Hutchins, senior vice president, lead portfolio manager multi-asset solutions EMEA, AllianceBernstein, Marc Bautista, senior director, investments, Willis Towers Watson and Mark Fawcett, CIO, Nest.

The Spotlight on Trustees and IGCs session will feature Andrew Cheseldine, professional trustee, Capital Cranfield, Ian Pittaway, partner, Sackers & Partners LLP and Rachel Brougham, trustee executive, BESTrustees.

A session on how advisers rate providers will feature Lee Hollingworth, Partner, Hymans Robertson, Mark Pemberthy, head of DC & wealth, Buck and Philip Parkinson, solutions leader – DC & individual wealth, Mercer.

Matthew Percival, head of employment policy, Confederation of British Industry, David Harris, director, TOR Financial Consulting, Dr Chris Sier, founder, ClearGlass Analytics, former chair FCA Institutional Disclosure Working Group and Nicola Parish, executive director, The Pensions Regulator are all delivering presentations.

Neil Hugh, head of UK propositions, Standard Life will be presenting on the importance of looking back to help us shape the future, while Emma Douglas, Head of DC Solutions, Legal & General Investment Management will present on investment innovation and Maria Nazarova-Doyle, Head of Pension Investments, Scottish Widows will speak about ESG and responsible investment.

A debate on cracking DC engagement challenge will feature Linda Whorlow, managing director workplace investing, Aegon, and Sue Pemberton, head of employer services, Premier Benefits.

A session on solving DC’s retirement challenges will include Lorna Blyth, Head of Investment Solutions, Royal London, Chris Curry, Director, Pensions Policy Institute (PPI), Jez Groom, Founder, Cowry Consulting, Paul Leandro, Partner, Barnett Waddingham and Donna Walsh, Head of Proposition Deployment, Standard Life.
