Nick Burns, chief executive of Bluefin, took home the Firm of the Year award for the third year running, along with gongs for Pension Adviser of the Year and Best Integrated Health and Wellbeing Solution.
Thomsons Online Benefits walked off with the award for Best Use of Technology by a Corporate Adviser at the ceremony, which took place at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, hosted by comedian Ian Moore.
Worcestershire-based Johnson Fleming won the Best Member Communication Strategy category, with Alexander Forbes Healthcare taking the award for Best Group Income Protection Adviser. Healthcare Adviser of the Year went to Jelf Employee Benefits, while Group Risk Adviser of the Year was won by Gallagher Risk & Reward.
Citrus4Benefits won the Corporate Adviser Small Firm of the Year in their first attempt at the category, while the award for Best Cashplan Solution went to Advo Group.
Adviser categories were determined by a panel of industry experts, while provider categories were decided through independent market research of 250 corporate intermediaries carried out by NMG. Bupa were voted both Healthcare and Cashplan Provider of the Year, while Aegon won Pension Provider of the Year and Canada Life won Group Risk Provider of the Year.
This year’s Ultimate Default Fund award went to Scottish Life, for its Governed Range, a second consecutive victory in the online reader poll.
