Healthcare company Healix is expanding its senior team with three new appointments.

It has appointed the former head of Aon Employee Benefits,  David Battle to be a non-executive director. Meanwhile Steven Whitehouse has been appointed to the newly-created position of group chief technology officer and Richard Jones to the role of data & pricing director.

Healix says these new appointments will help the further growth at the company. Each will be working across different areas of the business and bring considerable expertise from the financial services sector.

Battle has worked across business of various sizes including venture capital and private equity-backed organisations, providents and PLCs. He worked at Lorica during its rapid expansion which then saw it acquired by Aon.  Battle then worked as CEO of Aon Employee Benefit for nine years, before retiring at the end of 2023.  He has also worked with a number of major insurers in the medical expenses market.

In 2023, Battle was recognised by Health & Protection Magazine for his outstanding contribution to the industry.

Whitehouse has had a career working across startups, SMEs, and multi-national corporations, including IBM and Ford. His experience has seen him plan and implement large-scale technology solutions, including contactless payments for the London Oyster Card Network for Cubic Transportation Systems.

Jones has held a number of senior roles and joins from Barclays where he was head of pricing. He has also previously worked for Axa and Direct Line Group.

Healix Health CEO Ian Talbot, CEO says: “These additions to the team feels like a real statement of intent for Healix, as we continue to go through an exciting period of growth. They each bring with them experience and knowledge and will help us shape the future of the business.”
