Healix Health Services has appointed Ian Talbot as its new general manager as part of an executive level restructure.

Talbot was previously the commercial director for the healthcare company. In this new role he will oversee the company growth plans and commercial development. He will continue to work closely with Healix’s owner and founder Dr Peter Mason on the company’s long term growth strategy.

Other changes include the promotion of Deirdré Eloff to finance director, Kieran Stratton as director of pricing & underwriting and Susie Morris as director of trust sales. All will join Mike Barnes, Healix’s operations director, on the executive board.

This restructure comes after a period of expansion for Healix, with a 37 per cent increase in lives covered by the healthcare trust provider over the past two years.

This growth follows the roll out of a new SME healthcare product. The company will also shortly be launching into the international trust market.

Mason says: “[Talbot’s] broad experience in both the business and the wider industry makes him ideally suited to step up to the general manager role.

“He has been instrumental in our success in recent years and I am certain that he will continue to lead the team effectively as we work with clients to provide flexible, cost-efficient healthcare trust solutions for their employees.”

He added that these changes would strengthen the executive board and help Healix growth further over 2021 and beyond.
