Healix partners with Perci Health

Healix Health Services has partnered with Perci Health, a virtual care clinic connecting employees to human cancer experts.

The partnership will offer the broadest level of care and personalisation on the market to help members cope with the day-to-day impact of cancer. According to Healix Health and Perci Health, the platform is the first online clinic that offers individualised physical, psychological, emotional, and practical help.

Healix will provide Perci Health’s services to its members through the partnership, including access to cancer nurse specialists, one-on-one tailored support from renowned cancer healthcare experts with more than twenty specialties, individualised care plans, and professional resources.

Menopause specialists, dietitians, psychologists, psychosexual therapists, genetic counsellors, occupational therapists, and financial advisers are all available as services. Employees who are unofficially responsible for caring for a cancer patient can also receive support from these professionals. The alliance will provide special support to those workers who look after a friend or family member in this position, a group of people who are frequently forgotten and who will increase access to help for the entire workforce.

Healix says the partnership will enhance its current nurse-led cancer treatment pathway, making Healix the only company in the market to provide cancer patients with this degree of individualised attention. The agreement will offer members ongoing, cost-effective care so they may avoid waiting times while also, practically speaking, reducing the strain on the NHS.

Healix Health Services CEO Ian Talbot says: “We’re always looking for more ways to proactively help our clients provide the right support to those employees impacted by cancer diagnoses. Given the significant number of people of working age who are affected by cancer, and the devastating impact that illness can have on them and their loved ones, it is vital for employers to appropriately support their staff. We are proud to be joining forces with Perci Health to better support our members across the board.

“Perci Health’s extensive experience demonstrates its understanding of the importance of holistic cancer support in boosting wellness and productivity in the workforce and we look forward to seeing the positive impact that their unique level of personalisation and care will have for our clients and their staff.”

Perci Health CEO and co-founder Kelly McCabe says: “The pandemic has understandably placed huge pressure on the NHS that has resulted in a backlog of cancer diagnoses and treatment. Offering employers the ability to help staff impacted by cancer with the specific physical, psychological and practical support they need, while reducing waiting times that can hinder early treatment and intervention, is vital.

“With cancer care becoming increasingly community based, we’ve also seen an increased burden of caring responsibilities on the family members of those impacted by cancer. Our professionals have developed a unique programme of support for those caring for someone with cancer too, a group who quite often find support difficult to access.

“We’re extremely pleased to see our vision align with that of Healix to deliver personalised cancer support and offer more companies the chance to foster a healthier, happier and more productive workforce.”
