Health and wellbeing services provider healthcare rm has launched a new support, advice and treatment service that covers musculoskeletal health as well as mental health.
Called YourHalo, which stands for Your Health and Lifestyle Options, the product is available to insurers and employers. The proposition centred around 24/7 access to mental health support, but also providers access to consultations concerning physical health, nutrition and weight management, exercise and activity, and sleep.
Consultations are delivered by healthcare rm’s team of practitioners, including mental health specialists, CBT therapists, physiotherapists, sports therapists, nutritionists, personal trainers and sleep experts. Users can choose their preferred practitioner according to their area of interest and book appointments on-line or by phone. Consultations are delivered virtually by phone or video, according to user preference.
YourHalo is designed to equip and empower people to manage their health proactively, while helping to reduce the risk of more serious conditions developing.
Paul Nattrass, who recently joined the company from Medical Solutions, says: “We are delighted to launch YourHalo as a truly integrated and innovative new product that makes effective use of our considerable collective expertise. From an individual user perspective, the foundations of a healthy lifestyle include maintaining good physical and mental health, staying physically active, eating well and getting good sleep. From an employer and insurer perspective, two main causes of absence from work and potentially, claims, are mental health and musculoskeletal conditions. YourHalo has all the ingredients to help people lead a healthy lifestyle, thereby helping to mitigate absence and potential claims. We have plans to add new features to broaden the scope of services available in the near future.”
healthcare rm CEO Pamela Gellatly says: “Since our launch in 2000, our philosophy has always been to think holistically and provide people with tailored advice and support to promote all-round good health, while mitigating the risks associated with poor health behaviours. The launch of YourHalo enables us to apply this core philosophy and to promote positive health behavioural change for the benefit of individuals, employers and insurers.”
