Howden makes two new senior appointments

Howden Employee Benefits & Wellbeing has strengthened its global employee benefits team with two new senior appointments.

David Williams joins the international healthcare team as head of international operations, while Leigh Dauncey has been named global benefits director for the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Pacific.

Williams joins from Mercer Marsh Benefits, where he was international SME manager. He comes to Howden with more than 20 years of expertise in health insurance, having worked for leading firms such as Jelf Group plc, where he spent 8 years as an international business manager.

Dauncey also has over 20 years of experience in health and benefits, first in the UK before working for an international supplier and then transferring to the Middle East as the Middle East and Africa sales leader for Mercer Marsh Benefits. Leigh will concentrate on expanding Howden’s employee benefits business and expanding the company’s global offering for clients in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific.

Howden CEO and global practice head of health & employee benefits Glenn Thomas says: “We are delighted to welcome Leigh and David to our team. Both are experienced individuals who are well known and highly respected within the industry. They are committed to helping clients find the best benefits and wellbeing solutions and we know they will be an asset to the business – helping us to drive growth and explore new global opportunities.’’
