IFM Investors — the private markets investment manager owned by a number of Australian pension funds — has appointed Rekha Misra to be its global head of product strategy and innovation.
Misra joins from WTW where she was global chief operating officer. She has more than two decades experience in the asset management industry, having previously also worked at Barclays, Credit Suisse and Holland Capital Management.
Misra will be based in London and report into chief strategy officer Luba Nikulina.
As part of this role she will oversee the IFM’s growing global team across the UK, Europe, the US, Asia, and Australia. This team includes Maria Nazarova-Doyle as global head of sustainable investment and John Gee-Grant as head of global client solutions.
As a private markets specialist IFM focuses on managing funds for working people that are invested in assets deemed essential for society, including toll roads, airports, seaports, and renewable energy producers.
Nikulina says: “Rekha’s global experience will be invaluable as we continue to grow our presence in key markets in North America, Asia, Europe and the UK.”
