IGG promotes 22 amid governance demand

Independent Governance Group (IGG) has promoted 22 people across the business.

The list of promotions includes Chris Alford, Luke Tutt and Maria Keen, who have been promoted to trustee director roles.

Alford, part of IGG’s Covenant and Restructuring Centre of Excellence, brings more than 15 years’ experience, including advisory roles at a global accountancy firm and eight years at The Pensions Regulator.

Tutt, who leads IGG’s Pensions Dashboard working group, has a background in administration and works across both co-trustee and sole trustee appointments, as well as outsourced governance mandates.

Keen has more than 20 years’ experience in governance and scheme secretarial roles and is a member of the firm’s Risk Transfer Centre of Excellence.

Meanwhile, Chris Tabersham has been promoted to associate director, while Annette Balcombe, Carolyn Ealand, Mariarosa Rossi and Richard Haslam move into trustee manager roles.

Elsewhere, Abigail Finegan, Elizabeth Mealing, Ellis Kewley, Harry Birch, Philippa Wilson and Rachel Rigg have been promoted to senior associate positions while Craig Barth becomes Manager in Funding and Investment.

In IGG Group’s communications agency, Like Minds, Allan McCabe has been promoted to senior consultant with Lindsay Kerr and Sophie Liegho stepping up to associate consultant roles.

Additionally, Som Ali has been appointed CRM Manager while Rebecca Wheeler, Megan Russell and Burcu Ciftci have moved into executive assistant positions.

IGG chief commercial officer Grant Suckling says: “IGG’s success – and our ability to support our clients – is built on the strength and expertise of our people. These promotions reflect the fundamental role they play in helping our clients through an increasingly complex pensions landscape.

“As schemes navigate funding improvements, plans to run-on, run-off or buy-in, and heightened governance expectations, the need for experienced, accountable trusteeship continues to grow. It’s great to see so many colleagues developing their careers and stepping into broader roles as we continue to evolve as a business.”
