Invesco appoints iShares ETF head

Invesco is appoint Joe Bello as UK Head of ETF Asset Managers, charged with leading distribution strategy for Invesco’s ETF business amongst UK multi-asset investment businesses.

Bello joins from BlackRock’s iShares and has more than 20 years’ global distribution and research experience. At iShares he led the ETF and Indexed Investments sales team focusing on UK asset managers and was responsible for relationships with 50 of the largest global and regional asset management firms, with a focus on multi-asset and sustainable investment teams based in London.

Prior to iShares, he worked in the specialist sales team focusing on European Telco & Media research for Nomura International in London. He started his career at UBS Wealth Management in New York and has also worked for Goldman Sachs Asset Management in Chicago as a mutual fund consultant.

He reports into Kate Dwyer, Head of UK distribution at Invesco.

Dwyer says: “Our ETF business is one of our leading strategic growth drivers, which goes from strength to strength as clients respond to the breadth, depth and innovation of our range. Asset managers are an important client group for that business, with sophisticated and evolving needs, and I am excited to have someone of Joe’s calibre and expertise joining us to grow our relationships in this area.”
