L&G has appointed Nigel Drury to be the chief risk officer of its asset management business.
Drury has over 30 years risk experience working across financial services, with roles in asset management, wealth and banking. Most recently he was chief risk officer at Schroders and has also held senior roles at JPMorgan and ABN AMRO/RBS.
His experience includes UK regulatory engagement with both the Prudential Regulatory Authority and the Financial Conduct Authority, as well as board-level governance expertise.
Drury will take up this new role from 18 May, subject to the normal regulatory approvals. He will report into L&G Group’s CRO Chris Knight and the CEO of its asset management business Eric Adler.
This appointment follows the recent announcement that Emiel van den Heiligenberg has been appointed chief investment officer for L&G’s asset management business.
