LifeSearch has extended its partnership with military insurer Trinity to offer Private Medical Insurance (PMI) to veterans and the wider military community.
Trinity, founded in 2000, provides insurance for serving personnel, veterans, and their families. It covers over 14,000 customers with a range of general insurance for individuals, including military kit cover, buildings and contents cover and personal accident cover, as well as cover for military units’ welfare and travel.
It teamed up with LifeSearch to offer protection products and advice last year. The partnership now includes help with finding PMI, with support from LifeSearch’s advisers online or by phone.
It has helped more than 250 veterans and families. It also publishes monthly guides about insurance for the 10,000 subscribers of Trinity’s SitRep newsletter.
LifeSearch chief growth officer Ed Axon says: “Over the past year, our partnership with Trinity has already helped 250 families with tailored advice that accurately reflects their lifestyles and needs. We’re proud of the impact we’ve made together so far, and we’re excited to deepen our relationship by extending access to private medical insurance. We look forward to continuing to work closely with Trinity to support the Armed Forces community with the expert, human-first protection they deserve.”
Trinity CEO Mark Austin says: “The Armed Forces community is one that can often be underserved by ‘traditional’ financial providers. There are nuances to military life – such as frequent relocations, non-standard employment histories, and unique risks – that can be difficult to communicate to insurers and underwriters. Add to that the close-knit nature of veteran communities, where trust and reputation matter hugely, and it becomes clear why a different, more personalised approach is needed.
“Since partnering with LifeSearch, we’ve been able to cut through the complexity, reach more veterans with greater clarity, and drive stronger engagement with our financial products. Expanding this partnership to include private medical insurance is a natural next step, and one that will help us continue delivering the tailored services this community deserves.”
