Mark Duckworth will succeed David Cassidy as chief executive at Wealth at Work, a provider of workplace financial education, guidance and advice.

The move will be effective from 1 December.

Duckworth joins Wealth at Work with over 30 years’ experience within financial services, having previously served as CEO of Schroders Personal Wealth and Openwork.

Cassidy has led Wealth at Work since its inception in 2004. Under his leadership, the business has grown into managing over £4.5bn of assets for individual clients with the help of over 100 employed advisers.

David Gagie, chairman of Wealth at Work, says: “Mark is an outstanding appointment, combining deep sector expertise, a proven track record of scaling businesses, and a clear view of how technology will continue to help transform the Wealth at Work offering. The board is grateful to David (Cassidy) for his vision and stewardship, which leaves the business in a strong position as the need for workplace financial wellbeing, particularly at retirement, continues to grow.”

Stuart Payne, chief financial officer, will serve as interim CEO until Duckworth’s appointment on 1 December.
Following Duckworth’s arrival, Payne will assume the dual mandate of chief financial and operations officer in a new hybrid role.
