Marsh appoints new UK CEO

Marsh has appointed Lisa Quest as UK CEO, in addition to her current role as head of UK and Ireland at Oliver Wyman, effective 6 April 2026.

Quest joined Oliver Wyman in 2006, returned in 2013 after working in private equity and has held roles including co-head of the Government and Public Institutions Practice in Europe and head of UK and Ireland since 2023.

Her experience includes data and analytics, workforce strategy, and organisational design. She also holds external roles with organisations such as the Canada-UK Chamber of Commerce and the London School of Economics’ Centre for Risk and Regulation. She has worked with HM Government on initiatives including pay equity, defence financing, and flood resilience, and has also supported the creation of bodies such as the National Wealth Fund.

Quest will also work with UK business leaders to support Marsh UK’s commercial strategy, focusing on client relationships across its four businesses and developing data-driven solutions for UK organisations.

Quest will be based in London and report to Flavio Piccolomini, CEO, International, Marsh. She succeeds Chris Lay, who is retiring from the business.

Piccolomini says: “With her global leadership experience and management consultancy expertise, which has been honed with many of the world’s leading businesses, Lisa is well-placed to steer our growth as we create and deliver exceptional services that support our UK clients and enable them to continue to thrive. Her appointment is testament to the deep bench of talent we have across the firm.”

Quest says: “The UK is renowned for its creativity, innovation and entrepreneurialism, yet many organisations of all sizes are navigating an increasingly volatile risk landscape. I look forward to working with our colleagues and clients as we turn these risks into opportunities and support their future growth.”
