Marsh appoints workplace healthcare consulting leader

Marsh has appointed Lorraine Roberts-Rance as workplace healthcare consulting leader at Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB).

Roberts-Rance, who is based in London, will report to Neil Atkinson, strategic healthcare consulting practice leader and work alongside Nick McMenemy, Mercer Marsh Benefits UK leader who joined in April.

She will lead MMB’s UK workplace health consulting team, helping to develop services for employers in the health and social care sector. She will also work with policymakers and government bodies, as well as join Mercer’s global workforce health advisory network.

Roberts-Rance brings more than 25 years of experience across the UK and Australian healthcare sectors. Her career has focused on workforce risk, organisational culture and the impact of people-related factors on healthcare outcomes. She has also worked with NHS trusts on patient safety initiatives as part of a long-running collaboration with a US university hospital.

Atkinson says: “Lorraine brings extensive experience of helping organisations navigate complex risk environments. Having worked with a broad range of clients at senior level to design and deliver clinical risk programmes, she joins Mercer Marsh Benefits at a pivotal time for our business. Lorraine will play a key role in strengthening our data and advisory capabilities and supporting corporate clients in managing people risks. Alongside this, she will also expand our presence in the health and social care sector – an area where we see significant opportunity to innovate to drive improvement across healthcare outcomes.”

Roberts-Rance says: “Joining Marsh at a time when health presents significant challenges and opportunities for society, feels particularly important. Marsh has demonstrated an impressive commitment to this sector. The Workforce Health team have unrivalled expertise, and I look forward to taking on a leadership role at such a critical moment in the UK’s health journey.”
