Danny Meehan has joined Australian pension company Link Group and will oversee its expansion into the UK market.
Meehan, who was previously proposition and development director at Cushon will take on the role of growth leader, retirement solutions for Link.
Link Group has been investing in UK pensions over the past three years, as part of its strategy to overhaul the market and bring its Australian capability and technology to the UK. It says this appointment will help it further develop its UK growth ambitions, having recently acquired HS Pensions and have onboarded a number of major new clients.
It says Meehan will oversee Link’s continued expansion in the UK pension market as part of a coordinated strategy to drive growth and lead strategic relationships with clients, trustees, government, industry associations and advisers.
Meehan has 17 years’ experience in the financial services and professional services markets, having held senior positions at KPMG, Capita, Willis Towers Watson and most recently at Cushon. During his time at Cushon the business grew from being a savings provider offering Isas to a major master trust provider, growing from £10m to over £2bn in assets under management thanks to an active acquisitions strategy. Cushon was recently purchased by NatWest Group.
