Mercer is appointing Patrick Race as head of its UK investment consulting business, leading its UK executive team and will also sit on the leadership team for Mercer UK

For the last four years, Race has been responsible for the investment consulting teams in Birmingham, Windsor, Bristol, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds and Edinburgh and brings over 20 years of consulting and leadership experience to the role.

Race has worked for Mercer in the Birmingham office since 1996.

He also spent time in Chicago leading Mercer’s US Midwest investment consulting business. Before joining Mercer, Race worked for Bacon & Woodrow’s (now Aon Hewitt) actuarial practice.

Race replaces Fiona Dunsire, who after six years in the role, has decided to take a step back from her leadership role to focus on her client work. Dunsire will continue to work with the Mercer Workplace Savings team and will remain a member of the UK Investment Consulting executive team.

Tom Geraghty, Mercer’s head of investment consulting for Europe, Middle East and Africa, says: “We are delighted that Patrick is taking on this role, with his great passions for client work and developing people we are confident that the UK business will continue to experience continued success into the future.”
