Based in the London office, Baker will drive growth in Mercer’s diversity and inclusion consulting services throughout the region by helping clients build the diverse and inclusive workforces they need for the future.

He will oversee Mercer’s global D&I thought leadership across projects including the consultancy’s “When Women Thrive” project, research on parental leave, LGBT benefits and pay equity. He will also be working to grow Mercer’s specialised D&I client peer to peer networks.

He recently held the role of global client director. He is co-president of the Board of Professional Women’s Network Global, a leading global women’s network. He is also a member of the steering committees for Mercer’s Gender Parity Networks for Europe and the Pacific region, and an ambassador for Mercer’s “Men Matter” campaign.

Baker says: “I am delighted to have been appointed as diversity and inclusion consulting leader for Europe and the Pacific region. I see a major opportunity to help clients develop their capability to innovate, grow and deal with disruption in their businesses through attracting, developing and retaining the best diverse talent.”

“We are very pleased that Rob has agreed to take on this role,” says Norman Dreger, leader of Mercer’s multinational client group in Europe and the Pacific region. “He has the right experience and capability to deliver growth and brand development in our D&I consulting business.”
