Mercer has made two appointments to its executive reward team in the UK.

Andrew Marshall and Nicolas Stratford will join the team to address the growing demand for senior remuneration advice from corporate customers Mercer says.

Both Stratford and Marshall will report to Peter Boreham, Mercer’s UK & European Practice Leader, and will oversee engagements with compensation committees and HR clients. Marshall and Stratford will both be based in London.

Stratford has 25 years of executive remuneration experience, with an emphasis on advising remuneration committees of UK and European listed firms, as well as those planning an IPO. He also has experience in developing reward strategies, corporate governance, benchmarking, and incentive arrangement design. Stratford joins from Alvarez & Marsal, where he was the co-leader of their executive pay services unit in the United Kingdom.

Marshall comes to Mercer from Aon, where he was a lead adviser in executive compensation and has over 30 years of experience as a reward manager and consultant. Marshall has expertise in advising remuneration committees and management on all elements of executive pay and pay governance.

Mercer UK & European practice leader Peter Boreham says: “I’m pleased to welcome Andrew and Nic who further strengthen our capability in executive reward. Their experience advising a wide variety of companies from across many different industries will bring value to our clients and help us deliver the right solutions. I am confident their contribution will further develop our team to support our growing list of clients across the UK and Europe. We look forward to working them this year and delivering strong outcomes.”
