MetLife has launched its employee benefits offering in the Irish insurance market, with Group Life cover now available to employers and employees in Ireland.
According to the firm, the product will be distributed exclusively through brokers. MetLife’s Group Life cover provides financial protection for employees’ families in the event of death. The launch also introduces MetLife’s 360Health services to Ireland, which include virtual GP access and wellbeing support. A Master Trust option is available, intended to centralise administration and simplify benefit management for employers.
MetLife operates in more than 40 markets and in other markets, the insurer reports an average claims turnaround time of under three days.
MetLife Group has an established presence in Ireland, with around 200 employees across its European head office in Dublin and a campus in Galway. The introduction of Group Life cover represents an expansion of its existing operations in the country.
MetLife Ireland country lead Wayne Gibbons says: “Group Life is about more than a payout. It’s about giving employees peace of mind, helping families through the hardest moments and giving employers confidence that their people are supported. Our goal is to deliver the highest standards of service to Irish employers and employees, combining strong local knowledge with international expertise, while raising the bar on what workplace benefits can offer in Ireland.”
