MetLife UK has partnered with YuLife to launch a gamified group income protection offering, providing employees with access to a specially designed YuLife app to help reduce absenteeism and support faster returns to work.
The partnership aims to establish a new benchmark in Group Income Protection by promoting employee health engagement from the outset, with the goal of increasing productivity and decreasing sick leave, as roughly 2.5 million working-age adults are currently on long-term sick leave.
According to MetLife UK, the partnership addresses the UK’s rising workplace absenteeism rate, which is currently 7.8 days per employee yearly on average, with firms dealing with productivity issues related to employee fatigue and NHS underfunding.
