Mistry-Kandola steps down from Cloud8 following acquisition

Dipa Mistry-Kandola has stepped down from her role as CEO of Cloud8, the employee benefits technology platform acquired by Benefex last October.

Cloud8 is a white-labelled software as-a-service provider that was founded in 2019 and hit 11 B2B adviser clients by 2022. Its growth means it now serves 70,000 employees across more than 280 employers.

Mistry-Kandola says: “Over the course of the last three years, Cloud8 has grown from being a small-team start up with a handful of early adopter clients, to a business with scale and stability.  We scaled the processes in year 1 to ensure our early adopter clients were settled in, in year 2 we fund raised to establish the team and stabilise the product.  By year 3 we had scaled the team and overhauled our underlying product, which enabled us to be brave and find a new nurturing home for our team.

“From a personal point of view, 2023 has been all consuming for me in finding the right home for the Cloud8 business, and more recently transitioning our people and product into Benefex.  Being part of a bigger business will allow the team and product to flourish, and more importantly continue to focus on the underserved SMEs via our current clients.”
