Muse Advisory appoints new DC and EB lead

Muse Advisory has appointed Paul Armitage to lead of its DC and employee benefit support to clients.

Armitage has considerable experience in the industry. Until recently he was a partner at XPS, leading the National Pension Trust, and in the past has held a senior role at Aegon, and led the DC/EB practice within HACL and JLT.

In his new role for Muse Advisory he will be supporting companies and trustees in the review and selection of workplace pension scheme providers, supporting the selection of DC consultants to own-trust schemes, and undertaking ongoing support for governance committees established to oversee DC arrangements.

Muse Advisory CEO Ian McQuade says that Armitage has a “real depth of knowledge” across the DC market. “We are pleased that he has chosen to work with the Muse team at this exciting time in our growth. He will be able to help us support more companies and trustees across the DC and EB space, bringing our independence to bear to ensure they find the right solutions and support.”

Armitage adds: “I have been an admirer of the work done by Muse for years, and am delighted to join this truly independent firm. This new role complements my other commitments perfectly. With the team having experience of running DC administration, both at TPAs and insurers, led DC consulting businesses, and led Master Trusts both from a provider and trustee point of view – and even help set them up from scratch – we have a breadth of experience that is second to none in this space.”
