Around 39.1 per cent of women lack health insurance compared to 24.6 per cent of men, according to a new survey from Zelros.
The survey polled 1,000 people across the US, Canada, the UK and Europe.
Zelros chief growth officer Linh Ho says: “There is a gender gap when it comes to who is covered by health insurance where there shouldn’t be one.
“This could be caused by a variety of factors which is why it is crucial to actively work to close the gap and make health insurance more accessible to women.
“AI software can help insurers with deeper audience segmentation to identify gaps, life events, risk category changes to help insurers provide the best policy recommendations for women.
“AI software can now offer product recommendations in more Ethical ways to ensure women are getting the coverage that they specifically need and deserve.”
