Nest has committed £200m to climate technologies through its ongoing partnership with global infrastructure providers IFM Investors.

Through this mandate, Nest has pledged to support innovative projects and companies that are believed to be well positioned to benefit from the transition to a lower-carbon economy.

When contacted for comment by Corporate Adviser, Nest declined to confirm what the expected yield on the investment would be.

Rachel Farrell, director of public and private markets at Nest Invest, says: “This investment represents a compelling opportunity to generate returns for our members by tapping into some of the most exciting and innovative climate technologies in the world, including those right here in the UK.”

Nest became the first international owner of IFM last year, joining 15 Australian superannuation funds. Nest intends to invest £5bn through IFM by 2030.
