Prior to joining Bupa, she spent five years working as a general surgeon, most recently at St Mary’s Hospital in London. She has also worked as a surgeon in the Manguzi Hospital in South Africa and hospitals in Australia, Papua New Guinea and Trinidad and Tobago.
The first project Dr Woo will undertake at Bupa will be to direct the growth and development of the company’s e-health and telemedicine initiatives, working with Bupa’s home healthcare business, Clinovia, to enable the use of mobile phone technology to provide an interactive health information service for patients who suffer from chronic lung disease and breathing problems.
