Now Health International, a private medical insurance (IPMI) provider, has appointed Matt Pinckard as general manager of its Singapore operations.

Pinckard, who has more than 16 years of experience in the insurance sector, including positions at Zurich and Aviva, joins Now Health International from his previous position as a senior manager at Singlife with Aviva.

Pinckard, who will report to Now Health International’s chief distribution officer Rob McIntyre, will spearhead the organisation’s initiatives and build on its recent expansion. According to the firm, this involves addressing the demand for reasonably priced regional and international medical insurance plans among family offices, financial advisory firms, and brokers in Singapore.

Now Health International CEO Zahir Sharif says: “The IPMI landscape continues to change at pace, particularly when it comes to the central role technology plays in service delivery to both our intermediary partners and our members, and no more so than in Singapore.

“Matt’s experience in the sector and specifically in Singapore is second to none, and I’m delighted to welcome him to our team as we continue to explore growth opportunities in the Singapore market.”

Pinckard says: “Technology is reshaping the health insurance marketplace, ensuring providers can cater to the needs of both broker partners and their members, and Now Health International is at the forefront of this evolution.

“I’m delighted to join Now Health International and look forward to helping the business meet and exceed its objectives both locally and globally in the coming months and years.”
