Origen Financial Services has appointed James Ellison as head of corporate pensions.
Ellison joined the firm in April 2026 and leads pension-related corporate and trustee engagements, providing support, guidance and advisory services to employees and pension scheme members, alongside responsibility for strategic planning.
He joins from WPS Advisory, where he spent more than 10 years, most recently as head of workplace. Before this, he was head of client relations, overseeing the end-to-end management of corporate and trustee appointments. He also previously served as chief operating officer.
Earlier in his career, Ellison worked at JLT Employee Benefits, where he managed defined benefit de-risking and benefit change projects, including retirement options and enhanced transfer value exercises.
Ellison also serves as co-chair of the PASA DB/DC transfers and value working group, reflecting his ongoing involvement in industry initiatives.
In his new role, Ellison will be responsible for leading Origen’s corporate pensions strategy and supporting the development of its workplace offering.
