Pasa has appointed Duncan Watson as a non-executive director.
He brings over 30 years of experience across pensions and financial services, with experience spanning strategy, governance and operations in regulated environments, focusing on member outcomes and pension administration.
Watson is currently chief executive of EQ Retirement Solutions, where he oversees pension administration and service delivery for millions of members. He has held senior roles at Equiniti and Aon Hewitt, including UK chief operating officer. He is also a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and has advocated for greater recognition of pensions administration as a profession.
Pasa chair David Fairs says: “Pensions administration is now firmly recognised as central to the successful delivery of pensions, with growing expectations from regulators, trustees and members. Duncan’s appointment reflects this shift. He brings deep operational expertise, strategic insight and a clear commitment to raising standards across the industry. His experience will be invaluable as PASA continues to support earlier, more informed engagement between trustees and administrators, and to ensure administration is consistently represented at the top table.”
Watson says: “I’m delighted to be joining the PASA Board at such an important time for the industry. Administration is increasingly recognised as fundamental to delivering value for members, and PASA plays a vital role in supporting that progress. I look forward to working with the Board and wider community to strengthen standards, support collaboration across the industry and continue to build recognition of administration as a core part of pensions delivery
