The Pensions Administration Standards Association (PASA) has named Isio as expert partner and chair of its newly established Derisking Journey Management Working Group (DJMWG).
PASA says the new group will focus on tackling key challenges in liability management, such as data quality, benefit conversion, quote standards, post-transaction reporting, and member options at retirement.
It will provide practical guidance and recommendations for trustees, sponsors, and administrators, while also acting as a forum for collaboration across the industry, with members from insurers, legal firms, administrators, and actuaries.
PASA also says the appointment reflects its commitment to supporting schemes through the complexities of defined benefit endgame strategies, including buy-ins, buyouts, consolidation, and self-sufficiency.
PASA chair David Fairs says: “We’re delighted to welcome Isio as Chair and Expert Partner of our new Derisking Journey Management Working Group. Isio bring deep expertise in liability management, pensions de-risking, and scheme governance. Their leadership will be instrumental in driving PASA’s strategic focus on supporting high-quality administration practices during this crucial phase of scheme evolution. This is central to ensuring members’ experience a smooth transition as schemes reach their endgame.”
DJMWG chair Ian Wort says: “I’m delighted to lead this vital Working Group at such a pivotal time for the pensions industry. With the increasing focus on endgame strategies, it’s essential we develop clear, practical and consistent standards to help schemes deliver better outcomes for their members. Having worked with every insurer in the market, in varying capacities, Isio bring unique insights that will greatly benefit the Working Group’s aim.”
