People’s Partnership has appointed Phil Butler as deputy chief investment officer.
Butler joins from M&G, where he was a multi-asset portfolio manager in the Treasury and Investment Office.
In this new role he will oversee investment operations and responsible investing teams at People’s Partnership at its City of London office, which opened at the start of the year.
The People’s Partnership has been expanding its investment team, as its flagship master trust, The People’s Pension recently exceeded £30bn and is expected to move past the £50bn mark in the next four years.
Earlier this year the scheme’s trustee board signalled their readiness to markets, due to the growing scale and expertise.
People’s Partnership chief investment officer Dan Mikulskis says: “[Butler’s] appointment underlines our commitment to building foundations for The People’s Pension becoming a world class asset owners. He will play a key role in helping People’s Partnership grow our team’s investment capabilities as we continue to make our increased scale work for its 6.8m members.”
