People’s Partnership has appointed the former head of workplace pensions for Lloyds Banking Group, Jackie Leiper, as a non-executive director.
Leiper has considerable experience in the workplace pensions and wider financial services sector, and has held a number of senior roles within Lloyds Banking Group. This includes managing director of workplace pensions, individual pensions and investment. She was also the bank’s chief customer and digital officer, as well as CEO of Embark Group, which it acquired in 2022.
Leiper has also served on multiple boards, including being chair of the ABI long term savings committee, deputy chair of the Scottish Financial Enterprise and trustee of the Bank of Scotland Foundation.
In these various roles she has led industry initiatives to close the gender pensions gap and promote women’s financial resilience.
Commenting on her new appointment, Lieper says: “I am delighted to be joining the board of People’s Partnership at a pivotal time for workplace pensions as the government review takes shape.
“I look forward to bringing my experience across both workplace savings and broader financial services sector to support the Partnership’s strategic growth ambitions and its continued commitment to delivering value for its members.”
The People’s Partnership runs the People’s Pension master trust. Jim Islam, chair of the PPL board, adds: “[Leiper’s] vast experience and proven leadership in pensions and investments will be invaluable as we pursue our strategic ambitions of reaching £100bn in assets under management within the next decade.
“This addition underscores our commitment to building stronger financial foundations while driving growth and delivering long-term value for our members.”
