People’s Partnership hires Aegon account director

People’s Partnership has appointed Max Gist to be its new head of business development.

Gist joins from Aegon were he held a senior role as account director within its workplace pension team. In this role he was responsible for managing and growing strategic relationships with the UK’s larger employee benefit consultancy firms.

Prior to this he has worked for Scottish Widows in the corporate pensions market and the Lloyds Banking Group.

People’s Partnership offers the People’s Pension master trust — one of the largest master trusts in the UK.  Gist joins the company as it looks to further expand its footprint among EBCs, employers and trustees.

People’s Partnership distribution director Stuart Reid says: “As our distribution team continues to grow, [Gist’s] appointment represents a significant milestone in strengthening our leadership capacity. He will play a central role in shaping and executing our long-term strategy for growth in the DC and workplace pensions market.

“We expect to continue attracting top-tier talent and major clients as the industry realigns under the new legislation outlined in the Pension Schemes Bill, including the consolidation of DC pension schemes.”

Gist adds: “Mine and my team’s role will be working closely with employee benefit consultants, employers and trustees to grow People’s Partnership’s workplace pension offering by attracting new, and developing existing, corporate client relationships.”
